Okay get this. So my squad decided to take our long weekend off (thank you workers day) and travel an hour and a half to a little town called Mindo that is nestled into the cloud rainforest.

Today is our last day here and being me, I start looking into massages for $20! Sold. So MG decides to come with me to get her first massage! MG goes first, she loved it, duh. Then I go and as I finish, I sit up and Mar, our masseuse, asks if we are Christians.

We quickly respond with yes, which then is proceeded with streams of tears from Mar.

Through Google translation, some tissues, and hugs we find out this is exactly what Mar had prayed for.

Last night she asked God to show his provision and love her. She was desperate for more money and giving up on His love for her. Then the next morning she gets a call for two massages.

As she finishes, she looks at my ankle, which as of two days ago has the words, “But God” tattooed on it.

That’s her answer. Mar is going through something, I don’t know what, BUT GOD sees her, loves her, knows her.

Just like He sees you, loves you, knows you. I’m blown away by Gods presence even when I’m getting a massage in the Ecuadorian rainforest. He is with me, He is with Mar, and He most definitely is with you. He shows up. He provides. He loves. No matter what.

With His love and mine,

Katherine
