Hello from Guatemala!

I have now been in Guatemala for three weeks! My squad of about 50 people have the privilege to be staying at a beautiful base with a lovely view of a volcano!

For ministry, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 10-2pm, my team gets to go to a village about 10 minutes outside of a city called Chimaltenango. This ministry is actually brand new, the first day we got there was their first day receiving kids!

We get to spend the day with about 15-20 kids teaching them english, playing, and we also get to feed them lunch. These days are challenging with limited supplies and we are confined to a small room, but getting to love these kids like Jesus would is such a blessing.

On Tuesdays, we go to another local town called Parramos and partner with a church called “Restaurando a la familia” and their pastor named Junior. We usually walk around Parramos meeting locals and inviting them to church and praying over them in  any way the Lord directs us to. Then we come back to the church and from 2-4pm about 10-15 kids show up and we teach them english!!

On Thursdays, in the morning, we stay at the base and one of the base staff will give a teaching following a time of worship. In the afternoon we will go into the surrounding communities and ask the Lord or “ATL” to lead and direct our steps as we minister and pray for the local Guatemalans.

I apologize for not updating you guys sooner. Each day the Lord reveals His kindness and love as I live life here in Guatemala and none of this would be possible without y’alls’ support!! Please continue to pray that the hearts of Guatemalans, thats they would be open to receiving the love of Christ and for all the kiddos minds to comprehend english as this could help them get a job to provide for their family one day.

Last but not least, let me introduce you to my team!

From left to right:

Thanks for reading my catch up!! Until next time 🙂
