Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.

I uttered these words right after I had spun out in a car accident this past Tuesday night.

Many times racers’ first blog post is “Why I Am Going On The Race” and sure, I might get to that explanation, but first, there are some thoughts I have.

Life is fleeting. We are never promised tomorrow. The recent death of a former classmate has really taken me back to the gift of life and how much we take that for granted. What if this is your last day? How would you live this day differently?

I was asked, “What do you want to be remembered by?”

A few days later I was brought to Psalms 73, which says,

“And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

I want to be known for the fact that there was nothing else on earth that I desired more than Christ.

There’s a sweet space that Jesus calls us into. He desires for us to live in the light of His love and grace knowing that if today is our last, we are safe in His arms.

Today I challenge myself and I challenge you to step into the perfect love, trust, grace, and hope that Jesus gives us endlessly.

  1. Father, I pray that Katherine would continue to find everything in you. You are her portion indeed. Amen

  2. What a sweet reminder to one of the most rewarding challenges! So thankful Abba not only kept you safe in your car accident but that He’s also using it to bring you further into that sweet space with Him.
