I had a bad day yesterday. My actions did not glorify Christ and things just got worse and worse. By the end of the day, I had made things better in the way I could, but as I drove to my final activity on a Tuesday night, I truly felt defeated.

I turned on a sermon and was about halfway through, and within about five minutes the Lord just clearly said, "Katherine, I have already won this fight, just tell the devil to leave in my name."

So there, in the car on I-40, I began to rebuke the works of Satan in Jesus' name. By the time I placed my head on the pillow that night the Lord had completely turned my mindset around, and I began to realize how much there was to be grateful for. Here was my prayer and gratitude:

"Abba, Thank you for CAK, for someone that loves me, and a friend that never leaves. Thank you for an old friend that taught me so much and a warm house to come home to. Thank you for conflict and that you are with me in it. Thank you for your love and how you show it. Thank you for your grace and car rides. Thank you for family, for a mom, dad, and brother that all love you. Thank you for your Word. Thank you for helping us understand and being here when we do not. Thank you for the cross."

Today, I challenge you to thank God for the good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly. In thankfulness, the Lord brings us into His presence and holds us where we are.

Thoughts and Blessings,

Katherine Chandler
